Kuay Teaw Goreng & Dexter

Think that me and e-id have this hankering for char kuay teaw yg sdp for a few days already. But we really don't know where to get that yummy ones that'll satisfy us. I've tried a few already but couldn't find the one with my required criterias: Tak basah sgt., not too dry, a little hangus but not hangit (huh?), with eggs and taugeh... Sdpnye. I've been introduced to the stall kat IM2, but the kuay teaw is just so-so. A little bit hot for me and should've passed as kuay teaw basah je. Mak Kintan told me to look for abang bertopi koboi dkt Masjid Besar. Yesterday lalu, lupa nak cari koboi dan kudanya tu.. To stop my cravings, yesterday went to the kedai runcit nearby and bought stuff to make my own kuay teaw. I'm no expert in making this dish, but mine will do ajelah. For RM3.50 (it's important that I get the price right, I only have RM10 kat tgn.. seriously!) I get 2 packs of kuay teaw, some prawns and taugeh-essential nih! So, everybody ate without complaining.

Went out after Maghrib, and when I got back, guess what? Hungry again. So, balance petang, gue makan. Semangat berkobar-kobar gak, to watch Dexter, a tv series that I'll wait if I'm not that sleepy. The opening for this cerita is interesting. Starts at 12 (bagusnye org RTM timing citer yg seronok kan?) Unfortunately, tunggu pnye tunggu Eli Stone yg kuar. What?? Ni geram nih.. Just remembered, the previous episode mcm ala2 ending dah.. patut laa. Decided to sleep after watching Eli Stone for 20 minutes.. Bye Dexter, lelaki keji penegak keadilan..More like a psycho I think. Yaawwnnnn...

A Nauseous Day

Went to UiTM Jengka last Friday. Routine every semester. But this recent trip was considered as disastrous -to me laa. Most of us (my friends and I) have been going there for more than 10 times..depending on how many trips kami "terpilih", so sure la this trip won't be a problem kan. So not true..

As usual, the day begins with us waiting at the lobby (spt biasa) and once naik van I will open my "bekal". Mihun je. Kongsi la sorang sikit. Cukup la alas prut. Or else, perut kosong will result to=pning2 etc. Dkt. Maran, dah nmpk driver turning ke jalan lama. I've never been on this route before. Kiranya bad call lah ni.. pusing2, nauseous gile rasa. Anis dah terbaring kat blkg skali.. pdhal, baru tadi we heard her asking bunch of questions"Apa makna liberal?, Definisi inovasi etc". Sampai Jengka, kepala sume ting-tong. Unfortunately, it's not our turn yet. Lapar pls. Mihun alone is not enough. So, lepak la kat luar with grumbling tummy. Ni aksi menunggu kat luar la nih. Control muka nk mntah tp ida n anis berjaya berposing gak. So does Wani, K Ja and D.

When our turn came, it's already time for Jumaat, Alhamdulillah we are invited to have lunch at the pantry. Nasik putih pls, with kuah lemak nenas ikan masin, ayam goreng, sayur campur, smbal belacan, timun. Sedap perhhhh.. so ngam with our grumbling tummies tue.
We even managed (as usual gak) to take some pictures, no camera but with phones pun bleh. Tunggu turn basuh pinggan pun can click2 meh? Unfortunately for Ida, dia baru jumpa kicap after nasik abis. Siap posing besides the kicap apa..


Now, turn for the important meeting. Meanwhile, I was also busy clicking away. Keji, I know, but proof is important nowadays. Kang org kata tak wat keje lak. But then, I wonder what were Saparina and Anis doing? Ina is of course replying to sms'es and Anis.. tekup mulut? Mujur tak tutup mata.

Behold the poses made during the meeting. Can't pose too much though, it's working time right? These are the happy faces before trip back home. The most important thing to mention here, it the van could'nt start when it's time to head home. Everybody started to worry we might not get home. Ina's hubby came to pick her up but managed to lend a hand (actually two) to push the van. Tak malu pun everybody tolakkkk je van tu. What's important was "Nak Balik!!". We were pushing the van with heels. Ida bukak kasut, for more power! Two, three pushes then, it's ALIVE!. Mulut memasing keeps praying the vehichle won't act up mcm tadi anymore. Darn it, the driver took the same old route. This means I am going to be sick again. And I did, but have to tahan till smpai kolej.

On our way home, everybody starts yapping about if only they can watch Aqso and Madina, I was imagining if only my car can be folded, buh dlm beg, then tumpang Ida je. Segala sms could'nt be replied much.. short sentences je. Tak daya. If this is how morning sickness feels like, I could'nt imagine how people put up with it for months. Tapi proven, women are tough, jadik, these sickness takdak hal la..kott..

Reached home at 7, me and Id were kaputt... but managed to watch Van Helsing.. Apa barang? Heh heh.

Glad to be Me

Sometimes we wish how nice things would be if we were someone else. Or possess qualities that others have.
What are the qualities I don't like about me? Oh, one thing I can think is I'm lousy in tidying things. I clean, but you can forget all the work that follows cleaning such as arranging, stacking. Ornaments, trinkets on yourdesk.. that just isn't my thing.

I wish I could hold a decent conversation. Have the "aura" to make people listen to me, but sad to say, am lacking in that department. Kalau tak, sure my students score As. People don't share secrets with me much, as my expression is not that encouraging for them to continue with their story telling.

Think about food, frequently. Mcm.nothing else better to bo. "what to make, what to eat. This and that sounds good" Not very beneficial to the bodylah, obviously.

Short tempered I am. Simple statements may tick me off. Like now, ammending marks online seems menyusahkan. Lbh2 lagi when nothing changes since 15 April untill today. Kecik je komputer ni aku nmpk. Patience, patience. Mouth kene zipped from saying something bad. Lagi nk mrh when people around you gelak kuat2, ckp kuat2.. annoying sumtimes.

When I think about this again, it's not that bad to be me. If people don't spill things to me, I'm free from the 'obligation' to be a consultant to their problems. Thinking about food is not that bad either, people around me gets the benefit to try things I made. So, there are good things about me (masuk bakul takleh kuar) after all. Hey, I'm glad to be me lah!

I read a lot (a lot here means: comic strips, caption bwh. gmbr2, subtitles in movies..Well, to me that counts). Tak ke banyak tu?

Things relate to academic stuff, I’m not so keen. But, I have to as it is my bread and butter. (Just remembered butter berkulat tak dibuang lagi). Even if I buy a newspaper today, it will be read.. tak kira la hari ni ke, 2 hari kemudian ke. Horoscope, TV guide, jangan lupa tu. Janji baca gak. I’m not a knowledgeable person, so I make it a point to buy newspapers once a while. Online newspapers just don’t attract me much. Books used to be my free time activity, but nowadays I didn’t have chance to finish even the ones I bought few months back.

Stories that I like mostly written by Roald Dahl (penulis citer Matilda, Charlie and the Choc. Factory etc.) The stories are interesting, imaginative and wicked! Kalau cerita fiction yg. lebih utk. kanak2 tu sgt. menarik, kalau cerita yg. suits adults more tu, keji sket. Dia dah mati dah. Ni cartoons from his book, drawn by Quentin Blake yg. khidmatnya selalu digunakan Dahl.

One more writer, Stephen King.. He writes fictional horror, yg. takut2, and konon2 terkejut tu. (ada ke kategori mcm. ni?) His face pun ngeri gak. Dia idup lagi.

One more thing I read is students’ answer sheet. Sometimes, answer s_ _t is given too. Mmg. ramai students yg. pandai. Tp ada jugak yg memandai-mandai..heheh. So, from reading what they’ve written we will find “interesting” new terms/words/anything you want to call it. The examples of these terms include:
- first and forehead (sepatutnye first and foremost)
- long I study here (sepanjang saya belajar di sini)
- housefly = housewife
- fruits of thought (buah fikiran)these are some of the examples yg dijumpai. There are a lot more interesting stuff that couldn’t be included here. Ok, gotta get back to more reading. Sesi mmbuat nota..

How to Type?

I teach this Typing subject just this semester. I don't even remember the beginning or what we should do first in order to learn typing. Belek2 buku.. the first thing to do is place your fingers (jari2 tgn.. bukan kaki) at home keys @ home rows.. Mende Home keys tuh? It's actually keys (a, s, d,f, :, l, k, j) jari kelingking kiri kat A, jri manis katS, jri hntu (index finger) kt D, and tlunjuk kt F. Tgn kanan = kelingking kat ;, manis kat L, index finger kat K, and telunjuk kat K. Ibu jari belah kanan is used for the space bar below. Tht means, we are going to type using only 9 fingers.. Your left thumb can be used if dah penat guna right thumb (not!).

Jadi.. your drilling (latih tubi) begins.. asdf;lkj asdf;lkj.. setiap huruf akan disebut kuat2.. make sure your eyes on the monitor.. Kalu tgk pun, just to check so the keyboard tak tergolek sbb latih tubi yg bertubi2 tuh.. My lecturer used to shout at my back if she saw me looking at the keyboard. And ketuk jari2 ku ini.. if tersalah.. DON'T EVER USE BACKSPACE!!! Macam haram je kalu nk gune..hehe. So, sesapa yg terasa nk guna all home keys with the right (betul ye bukan kanan) keys, sila wat drilling. tak semestinya in the right order... Practise la.. a, a kk, sj, sj.. gitu la..

Most of the people reading ni pun mmg terer menaip pun. Just think of jotting something je. Heheh.. nmpk sgt takde mende nak tulis..

Nothing to Write.. yet so Many Things in Mind

Just feel like putting some pics. in this blog. Gmbr lama. Before Elijah pindah, before I am p.h.a.t. (fat actually) like now2.. sigh.. Ha, salah sapa? aku kan? (talking to myself je).

Actually, so many things going thru my mind, but can't seem to write anything.. Jadi, baik gue bubuh gambor bagi memenuhkan ruangan ini.. Kelihatan Ida and me.. looks like she's really trying to get in the picture.. walhal mmg muat sangat dah dlm gmbr.

Kelihatan aku yg buat2 mls.. atau sbenarnya mmg mls. Yus plak tgh bersedia sesangat. K, tu je, byk la mende nk pk. Dah nmpk pun mls.
