Time dlm kelas, baca dictation, I was aiming for this student.. Trying to make sure she won't fell asleep. I kept knocking her desktop partition.. and ok la... she didn't doze off. Tp.. kejap lagi, when I moved to her side, trying to keep a look on others.. molek aku toleh je..TDO!.. aduuuu.. pls la girl.. jgn shuijiao! Then, I remembered I used to sit in front of this particular law class, hoping that I won't fell asleep while taking notes.. Too bad. But today... it's different. Test tuu.. Nak geget je budak nih!

Salam.. it's Friday. The day I presented the article reviews. I did just that.. with limited audience. Takpe2. Lagi syukur sbb I don't have to face any additional questions from them. I did last minute work (dapat sebulan dulu), tp was still debating (dgn diri sdiri) on the topic. Takut tak sesuai.. last2, belasah je la.. Effect on Instant Messaging pd Student's Writing Abilities.

Tak tersempat and takut silap kalau nk translate article English.. blasah je la, ckp cmpur2. Yang penting, what suits me atau dgn kata lain.. apa yang sempat je laa. The audience were nice..kikiki.. I was afraid of the questions given by the future PHD holders.. Mak tak suka nk jwb, tak retih...
Tp he was just giving his opinion..well, that, I can take. Thanks to friends yg tak lokek opinion.. Kalaula audience terpikir apa yg ahli lorong I boleh komen... I'm dead meat!

Hik hik..suka.. rasa something has been lift off me! Yeay.. ok.. projek seterusnya.. buat balik keje2 tbengkalai sbb susah ati ke mende nih.

Cabaran Sem Ni

Salam. Cabaran bulan Ramadhan pada sem ni, bukan terletak pada menahan diri dari lapar, dahaga semata, tp cabaran kami lebih pada perasaan yang bercampur baur, sedih, kesal dan terkadang terpaksa menahan marah.. Yang terkadang tu, dari kadang2 dah jd acapkali.

This sem, it looks like the roles that we play has been updated, the scope of responsibilities widened and the challenges Subhanallah.. Keadaan2 yg never before tjumpa, tidak lagi pelik to us.

Ranges of responsibilities such as Ceti : Collecting payment for certain fees/activities is ongoing. Not forgetting collecting payment of books. (buku sem 3, sem 5 tak abis byr).
Data Administrator: recording not only marks, but students details, pics, any info for superiors-stdnts' and ex-students whereabouts, landed jobs, field they pursue...blah blah. Counsellor: Being a place for them to tell their problems (most problems created by themselves);"my friends badmouthing me", "I have trouble waking up early", etc2.. owh..lupa.. keadaan2 yg pelik tu, includes : kanak2 yg taknk contact mums and dads.. went missing , till parents got sick(literally sick ok?).. kita je yg naik sick of mereka yg buat hal nih, yg tipu kow2, tahap dewa-dewi punya tipu, financial probs, sakit yg lethal lah..etc2
Psychologist/Counsellor: Tempat mums and dads mengadu their problems.. etc2.

I am not complaining (pdhal sounds like it, though), but bila tgk2 balik kesah ceritera mereka2 ni.. maybe they have nothing else to do. I mean, look at the scenario of friends badmouthing their own best friends. They ain't have nothing better to do right? They don't have to think about financial probs, aiming to pass etc. Because everything is easy now. Chance to further studies are right in front of them, it's only a matter of nk taknak je. Instead of having fake financial problems, they ought to go to a personal financial mgt course. There are those who work to pay for their studies, but failed to inform us. Remarks such as :tu lah, knp Miss tak tanya, kenapa Miss tak tau?" akan terdengar. Hmm...It helps us to help them if we know their real situation. Sure, mmg sgt btul. Tp, nk mmbetulkan smua keadaan tu tak sllunya mudah. Dan tak selalunya masa pembtulan dilakukan, kita akan "berhemah"..

Break-Fast? Nope.. Pour-Fast

Mana ada term tuang pose dlm english kan? Anggap je la "pour-fast" atau poornye disbbkan not fasting. Tadi in class, bau rokok. Positive thoughts.. mybe org lain smoking, the smell lekat kt bju budak ni.. Good thoughts..good thoughts.. The same incident happened years back.. tp tak sangka ada re-run pulop....

Translation

I used to dream of being a translator. Ikut la nk translate apa. Then, I imagined jd voice over certain cartoons (due to byk sgt suara2 yg sama jd watak yg dialihbahasa). Doraemon tu, suara yg amat memenatkan nk dgr, and I always wonder, smpai bila pmpuan ni nk bwk watak ni lagi??

Okeh, however, I wasn't planning on writing about being a "voice over" but, I wanted to display some of the ridiculous words that has been translated..loosely. Suka ati je nk translate jd apa... Kesian rasa bila tgk tv. Antaranya: Joystick - kayu ria (alat digunakan while playing computer games), collectibles - kolektibel (barang2 yg dikumpul krn minat).. yg ni tak pnah tau pun dh dieja jadi Melayu.

There are other words that I think quite ridiculously translated in dialogues:

dlm cerita Bones " the injury was due to blow to the head" jadi "kecederaan adalah akibat "letupan" di kepala. Ada ka??? footage is now futej, belanjawan is now "bajet" je, dan picnic is no longer perkelahan, but rather "piknik".

I am no language expert, but seeing the words loosely translated makes me menyampah. Masih ingat lagi translation dari ayat "he is pathetic"= "dia cacing kerawit tak gune".. sedih2
