Why do you read? Do you like it? Or you HAVE to do it for purposes such as the choices below:
a. to absorb information to pass exams.. (time studies, PTDs, Exam Pegawai Takbir –dibaca ala2 Sukiman, MTest dll)
b. to be knowledgeable than others
c. You LIKE reading
d. Saja suka2. Nothing else to do.
I read a lot (a lot here means: comic strips, caption bwh. gmbr2, subtitles in movies..Well, to me that counts). Tak ke banyak tu?
Things relate to academic stuff, I’m not so keen. But, I have to as it is my bread and butter. (Just remembered butter berkulat tak dibuang lagi). Even if I buy a newspaper today, it will be read.. tak kira la hari ni ke, 2 hari kemudian ke. Horoscope, TV guide, jangan lupa tu. Janji baca gak. I’m not a knowledgeable person, so I make it a point to buy newspapers once a while. Online newspapers just don’t attract me much. Books used to be my free time activity, but nowadays I didn’t have chance to finish even the ones I bought few months back.

Stories that I like mostly written by Roald Dahl (penulis citer Matilda, Charlie and the Choc. Factory etc.) The stories are interesting, imaginative and wicked! Kalau cerita fiction yg. lebih utk. kanak2 tu sgt. menarik, kalau cerita yg. suits adults more tu, keji sket. Dia dah mati dah. Ni cartoons from his book, drawn by Quentin Blake yg. khidmatnya selalu digunakan Dahl. One more writer, Stephen King.. He writes fictional horror, yg. takut2, and konon2 terkejut tu. (ada ke kategori mcm. ni?) His face pun ngeri gak. Dia idup lagi.
One more thing I read is students’ answer sheet. Sometimes, answer s_ _t is given too. Mmg. ramai students yg. pandai. Tp ada jugak yg memandai-mandai..heheh. So, from reading what they’ve written we will find “interesting” new terms/words/anything you want to call it. The examples of these terms include:
- first and forehead (sepatutnye first and foremost)
- long I study here (sepanjang saya belajar di sini)
- housefly = housewife
- fruits of thought (buah fikiran)these are some of the examples yg dijumpai. There are a lot more interesting stuff that couldn’t be included here. Ok, gotta get back to more reading. Sesi mmbuat nota..
